About Me the Montessori Teacher

My name is Lisa Nolan, the trained & certified Montessori teacher. I've taught Montessori in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1986.

I took my Montessori primary training in 1986 at The Maria Montessori School of the Golden Gate in San Francisco with the late head mistress, Ursula Thrush. I took my Montessori elementary (6-9) training in 1988 at The Maria Montessori School of the Golden Gate in San Francisco (with the late head mistress Ursula Thrush) through the University Extension, University of California Berkeley. I received an MA from San Francisco State University.

I am also an author, a stay-at-home work-at-home mom, a blogger, and a webmaster. I guess you can call me a one-mom operation! My son was born with Down syndrome in 2004, and being at home with him, using Montessori education since birth, has been a blessing in disguise!

Best to you,

Lisa Nolan

There are affiliate product links on this website. If you click on them and make a purchase, I get a small commission. This small commission, in turn, funds a few Montessori materials and activities and books I can get for my son. So I want to give a big thank you in advance of any purchases you make!--Lisa Nolan

"A few months ago I realized I had a Montessori child in the making when after looking at a book she got up and put in back in the box where it had come from (without prompting!)."
